David was born in 1755. He is the son of Christian Zeh and Sophia Bellinger. While a resident of the Middle Fort in Schoharie, New York, David enlisted and served in the New York Troops as follows: from sometime in 1776, marched to Albany, thence to Fort Edward, then to Lake George where he served one month in Captain George Richtmyer's Company, Colonel Peter Vrooman's Regiment; enlisted in 1777, at the time Burgoyne was taken and served three months in Captain Richtmyer's Company, Colonel Peter Vrooman's Regiment; from sometime in the spring of 1778, six months under the same officers; in 1779, six months under the same officers; in 1780, six months under the same officers; in 1781, he moved from the Middle Fort to the Lower Fort in Schoharie and in the spring of that year served three months in Captain Christian Stubrach's Company, Colonel Peter Vrooman's Regiment; in 1782, three months under the same officers.

He was allowed pension on his application executed 13 July 1833 while a resident of Cobleskill, Schoharie County, New York, where he had lived ever since the Revolution. David Zeh, Certificate No. 24600, issued 16 Jan. 1834, rate $80.00 per year, commenced 04 Mar. 1831, act of 07 June 1832, New York Agency.[1]
